BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Jen's Camp was designed for kids and families! Our goal? Make the entire experience from registering to day to day camp easy on the families and provide the kids with great activities and choices about how they spend their day. We saw families struggling with programs that only ran for 3 hours and saw first hand the strain that added to family units. Our goal is to make things easy on the families. That means less time coordinating logistics. We are open from Monday, June 20 - Friday, August 12, 2022, Monday - Friday from 7:30a - 6p.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We are not set-up or staffed to help a camper 1:1. While camp cannot provide an aide, families are welcome to provide an aide for their camper as long as they are cleared by us first. Once we’ve received all the completed paperwork and confirmed background checks are clear for an aide, they will be able to attend camp with your camper. This is a long process as background checks can take weeks to clear so, if this is the right step for your family, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible to begin.

There are no extra registration steps for certain programs, no before or aftercare needed. We never leave campus so caregivers can drop off and pick up their campers whenever it is best for them within our hours of operation. We offer registration for the whole summer (best value), weekly blocks or by the day. Need just an afternoon? Snag a spot in our half-day pilot program from Noon - 6p.
The campers choose from the open activities (different activities are open at different times of day) and spend their time doing what interests them the most. All of our activities are designed to be intuitive, meaning even the youngest of campers can walk right up to the activity and get started. How? Meticulous preparation and plan ahead so that it all comes off as simple and easy to engage in.
We have visual guides for campers to reference and staff always nearby if a camper should want a little help or a high-five to celebrate some cool new thing that they just tried for the first time! From stop motion animation to hand sewing to water play on the turf field - we've got a great summer planned for your campers! Registration is open!
All of our staff will be up to date on their covid vaccinations, CPR/First Aid/AED certified, background checked and federal and state levels. We also have staff with food manager certification.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are fulfilled for the season, however, if you are interested, please email Jen's Camp so we can put your on our email list for next year!

CAMP FACILITIES: Modern practice fields and facilites with top-notch training and safety equipment.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.
We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.
Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. The format includes traditional week-long summer day camps and year-round after-school programs that range from 45 minutes to 6 hours in duration, per day. Our progression of camps and programs, led by our expert staff, are generated toward youth looking for a sport introduction or those who want to refine and master their sport-specific skills.
For Detailed Information on ALL of our summer sports camps, please visit our website at Our Camp Website Link: www.skyhawks.com.
Our coaches and site directors make a significant difference to your child's on-field experience. Chosen for their strong personal character, responsibility, and capacity to effectively communicate sports skills to youth, our staff will make the extra effort every time to ensure that your children have the best on-field/court experience, emphasize teamwork, and learn life skills through sports. Our staff are required to complete our extensive certification process.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We offer financial aid for those families that qualify. Please call 1.800.804.3509 for an application.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer year round programs in select states, please see our website for complete information on all Skyhawks Sport Camps in your area.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Skyhawks Sports Camps are SAFETY FOCUSED!
At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.
Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Road Less Traveled as an organization was founded by Jim and Donna Stein in 1991, and has been successfully running safe, exciting, life-changing trips for teens ever since. Both Jim and Donna are still the current directors, and are integrally involved in every single aspect of the company. In the summer, they are on call 24/7, available both to parents as well as to our leaders in the field.
We are an ACA accredited organization with an impeccable track record. We believe in the process of accreditation. It allows us to compare our standards to other professionals in the industry. Our accreditation allows us to follow specific standards related to leader screening including use of application forms, reference checks, personal interviews, work history review, and background checks.
Many years ago, we were the first company serving young adults to require that all leaders have a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) medical certification. WFR training is far more advanced than standard first aid or wilderness first aid. In addition to this certification, we carry extensive first aid kits on all of our programs that include antibiotics and epinephrine. Contents, protocols, and standing orders are reviewed and updated every year by our Medical Director who is an MD.
Since our inception, RLT has been on the cutting edge of technological advances in communication. We began carrying Iridium satellite phones on all of our programs as soon as they were available. Today we continue to carry the latest in emergency communication systems. According to geographic location, programs are equipped with satellite phones, ground-to-air radios, and/or cellular phones providing the possibility of 24-hour access to medical help in case of emergency.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We offer many need-based scholarships and financial aid packages. Visit Geography of Hope's website to learn more: Our Camp Website Link: www.geographyofhope.org
